Job Title: Lead Occupational Therapist - Mental Health Team

Location: Altrincham

Type: Permanent

Shift Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Senior/Lead Occupational Therapist to join our client's dynamic and enthusiastic multidisciplinary team at a leading mental health hospital. This role involves working across both adult and CAMHS ED inpatient services, providing a challenging and rewarding environment where you can make a real difference.

Role Overview:

As the Senior/Lead Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing the Occupational Therapy Service within the hospital. The successful candidate will have experience working with a range of complex cases in an inpatient setting, both individually and in groups. Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing consultation and support to the lead consultant on the unit's therapeutic programme.

* Engaging patients in therapeutic and meaningful activities that promote positive outcomes.

* Managing and coordinating individual treatment plans for occupational therapy and activities.

* Conducting 1:1 OT assessments and delivering tailored treatment plans.

* Developing close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues to ensure clinical practice aligns with organisational policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards, particularly regarding risk assessment.

* Demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills along with exceptional organisational abilities.

Candidate Requirements:

* Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant professional registration.

* Substantial experience in an inpatient mental health setting, specifically working with adult and CAMHS ED populations.

* Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop a team.

* Competence in risk assessment and the management of complex clinical cases.

* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering positive relationships with colleagues.

* High level of organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse workload effectively.

* Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up to date with the latest practices in occupational therapy.
