We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Learning Disability Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh , a category A Prison located in Woolwich.
Belmarsh is a Category A High security male prison based in Woolwich in South East London. It houses 792 patients and has 48 single cells.

Salary
This position is Bank you'll receive an annual salary up to £ 25.50 per hour weekdays and £28.35 at weekdays.

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Learning Disabilities Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- respond as directed by the Mental Health Team Manager in the day to day operational functioning of the Mental Health team.
- Have responsibility for a caseload and be accountable for all aspects of delivering a nursing service for adults with learning disabilities/ challenging behaviour, within the criminal justice setting.
- Working with adults whose behaviours have resulted in their offending and coming into contact with the criminal justice system.
- You will be working with the multi-disciplinary team to undertake person centred specialist behavioural assessments, planning and co-ordination of positive non aversive behavioural approaches to service users.

- Registered Nurse - Learning Disabilities
- Current professional qualification (NMC)
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Substantial experience working with adults with Learning disabilities with a range of clinical presentations.
- Evidence of working Learning disability health within a community or inpatient setting.
- Evidence of use of a range of standardized and non-standardized behavioural assessment tools supporting clinical reasoning
