Position: Clinical Nurse Specialist - Oncology
Location: Birmingham - The Harborne Hospital
Working Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday
Contract Type: Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our clinical nurse specialist team at The Harborne Hospital, our 4th NHS Joint Venture. Purpose built with both patients and colleagues in mind The Harborne Hospital is a multi-speciality, private hospital which combines deep clinical infrastructure with the exceptional technology and modern facilities HCA Healthcare UK (HCA UK) is known for. Our wide range of expertise allows us to deliver full clinical pathways at all levels of complexity across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Oncology, you will deliver expert nursing care and support to patients and their families facing cancer diagnoses. This role will complement our existing CNS provision for Breast, Haematology and Palliative care, and will be supporting a range of consultants and tumour types. including (GI, Gynae, Skin, Lung, Neuro). Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist, evidence-based, individualized care to patients based on their evolving healthcare needs.
  • Conducting holistic needs assessments and developing responsive care plans.
  • Working autonomously while building collaborative relationships across professional boundaries.
  • Developing and continuously reviewing patient pathways.
  • Ensuring clinical excellence through expert knowledge and evidence-based practice
