We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Associate to join our Primary Care team at HMP Onley , a category C Prison located in Rugby.

Hours

37.5 hour week working on a 3 week rolling rota working, 10 hour shifts and 11 hour shifts during the week, 9 hour shifts during the weekend. 1 in 3 weekends, no night working.

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £32346per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing

As a Registered Nurse Associate, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Provide outstanding care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them
  • You will contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics as well as assisting patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to
    supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.
  • Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and
    providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of
  • Promote best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a
    culture of shared learning. You will promote patient wellbeing through our overarching Wellbeing Approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding to our patients.

Qualifications required:
  • Qualified Nurse Associate
  • Currently registered with the NMC
  • Training to level 3 in the safeguarding of vulnerable people
  • Demonstrate current/recent preceptorship pathway since joining the NMC register
  • Evidence of post registration CPD in areas relating to current practice
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
