We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Altcourse , a category B Prison located in Liverpool.
HMP Altcourse is a male prison that has a capacity of 1324 inmates. The healthcare onsite consists of Planned and Unplanned Care, Mental Health care, onsite Pharmacy, Inpatient Unit, Physios and Dentists. There is a Gym onsite and free parking.

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary of £42,094 up to £47,466per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.

  • Qualified Paramedic
  • Current professional registration (HCPC)
  • Proven post-registration ambulance experience
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
