Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for a Director of Clinical Services to lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional clinical care at a renowned private mental health hospital. This role is ideal for an experienced leader looking to make a real impact in the delivery of high-quality inpatient services for young people and adults.
Salary: £65,000 per annum
Position: Director of Clinical Services
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Setting: Mental Health Inpatient Services
Location: Manchester (SK8)
Your key responsibilities will be;
• Provide operational and clinical leadership across the hospital's clinical teams, ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Oversee clinical departments' performance, governance, staffing levels, and budgets, driving improvements in clinical services.
• Develop and implement clinical interventions that align with best practices and improve patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations, quality standards, and clinical performance indicators.
• Lead multidisciplinary team collaboration, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of holistic care to patients.
• Manage clinical governance, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and professional codes of conduct.
• Support recruitment, retention, and ongoing development of clinical staff to improve service delivery.
• Ensure timely and accurate use of e-Rostering systems to maintain optimal staffing levels across shifts.
• Deliver high-level leadership and decision-making support in challenging, fast-paced clinical environments.
• Ensure all clinical staff receive appropriate clinical supervision, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives to continuously raise the standard of care provided to patients.
• Manage and drive clinical business planning, including budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Regularly review staffing trends to maintain safe staffing levels and avoid under or over staffing.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of hospital policies, procedures, and operational strategies.
• Act as a key member of the senior management team, contributing to hospital-wide leadership and strategy.
For this role, we're looking for someone who has;
• Registered with NMC or HCPC.
• Experience in a managerial or supervisory clinical role.
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills.
• Experience in managing budgets and staffing.
• Strong background in quality improvement initiatives.
