Job Description
Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Temporary Registered General Nurse to join our team at a prestigious private hospital in Ledbury, Herefordshire, which specialise in neurological complex care. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with neuro related health conditions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough health assessments and evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor their effects.
- Provide support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Monitor patients' progress and report any changes to the medical team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists/consultants, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options.
- Promote awareness and advocate for patients' needs.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior nursing staff and nursing students.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance nursing skills.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars relevant to general health nursing.
Qualifications:
- Education: Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification.
- Licensure: Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
- Experience: Previous experience in a mental health setting is essential.

- Strong clinical and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care.
