Job Description

Senior Staff Nurse - Oncology
London, Private Care at Guy's (Part of London Bridge Hospital)
Full time - 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Competitive + Shift Enhancement

We're looking for an experienced Oncology Nurse to join our cancer nursing team at Private Care at Guy's, one of our state-of-the art cancer centres and, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. Featuring theatres, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, oncology and surgical wards, we deliver a level of care rarely found in the private sector. A centre of excellence, we're also constantly at the forefront of clinical innovation, whether that's through our investment in pioneering robotic surgery, our JACIE accredited stem cell transplantation unit for blood cancers and Multiple Sclerosis or other treatments, such as revolutionary bispecific antibody therapy, which we are currently the only private hospital able to offer this treatment.

The Oncology Nurse position offers a unique opportunity to work in a highly esteemed and innovative cancer care environment. As part of the position, you will gain access to the Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT) programme, which will enable you to administer chemotherapy and provide additional professional development.

This position allows you to be a part of a specialist oncology nursing team in a cutting-edge facility that is currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. You'll be involved in providing care across a variety of settings, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy and other oncology treatments. The role requires you to work collaboratively with patients, ensuring their medical, physical, and emotional needs are met while providing high-quality care. It is an ideal position for an experienced oncology nurse looking to further their career in an innovative and supportive environment or a Band 5 Oncology Nurse looking to take the next step in the career. Completing the SACT course could also lead to a Band 6 Oncology Nurse role.

If this opportunity aligns with your experience and aspirations, it could be an exciting next step in your oncology nursing career.

At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.

What you'll bring:

  • A current NMC Nurse registration
  • Experience in Chemotherapy administration (SACT) desirable
  • Post registration experience within haematology or oncology setting
  • Clinical skills in venepuncture, cannulation and the administration of intravenous drugs.
