Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Psychologist to work as part of an established multi-disciplinary therapy team that provides psychological treatment and support to inpatients and outpatients. The candidate will also be skilled and motivated in the facilitation of group therapy interventions.
The hospital has residential facilities for 56 patients as well as day care and outpatient services providing of specialist treatment in mental health. The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care for both inpatients and outpatients together with an extensive range of clinical services and is a principle provider to the NHS in the north of England, focussing on positive holistic outcomes through full service provision.
Salary £48k
Hours 30 hours per week
The successful candidate will join a thriving therapy service that is committed to evidence based practice, supervision and providing professional development opportunities. The post holder will be an integral member of an established multi-disciplinary team to contribute to clinical meetings / care planning for service users.
Applicants will be registered with the HCPC, will have doctorate in Clinical Psychology and will be expected to bring the psychology leadership, clinical and consultation skills necessary to offer an outstanding psychology service to their service users and multi-disciplinary teams.
The post holders responsibilities will include:
• Working within the standards set out by CQC, QNIC and other regulators
• Providing excellent standards of evidence based practice
• Regularly reviewing and monitoring outcomes of assessments and the effects of treatment in line with goal based outcomes
• Active participation in service developments including: the use of service user feedback / in-house training
• Contributing to the development of care pathways and other treatment protocols
• To provide specialist supervision, training and consultation to colleagues through formulation groups / reflective practice
