Haematology Senior Nurse/Charge Nurse (Band 6)

Location: Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, Birmingham

Salary: Band 6 (£37,338 - £44,962 per year)

Employment: Permanent - Full-time or Part-time options + flexible working

Role Overview: As a Band 6 Haematology Senior Nurse or Sister/Charge Nurse, you will administer supportive therapies, provide compassionate care, and support patients and their families. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients, whilst supporting the department manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Administering medication and other supportive treatments
  • Monitoring patients' progress and managing any adverse effects
  • Educating patients and families about treatment plans
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality care
  • Participating in professional development and training programs
Requirements:
  • 3 years post qualification experience within cancer services
  • Registered Adult Nurse on the NMC Register
  • Passion for haematology and oncology nursing with a relevant qualification with the field
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills & teaching & assessing skills and experience
