Job Title: Théâtre Scrub Nurse (Cardiac)

Banding: band 5 / band 6

Location: Cambridge

Working Hours: Full-time

Rate: £30.15 per hour

About Us:
Our client based in Cambridge is looking to recruit a dedicated Theatre Scrub Nurses to join their dynamic surgical team and play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to their patients.

Role Overview:
As a Theatre Scrub Nurse, you will work alongside the skilled surgical teams, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment. Your responsibilities will include preparing the operating theatre, maintaining sterile techniques, and providing direct support during surgical procedures. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field for cardiac surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during operations.
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure high standards of care.
  • Participate in the ongoing training and development of junior staff.

Requirements:
  • NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Previous experience in a theatre environment, preferably in cardiac surgery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
