What you will do:

* Perform in-depth mental health assessments, including risk assessments and developing tailored care plans.

* Manage and de-escalate psychiatric crises using both verbal and, when necessary, physical interventions.

* Lead medication management, ensuring safe administration, monitoring, and patient education on psychotropic drugs.

* Monitor physical health to address coexisting medical conditions and potential health concerns in a mental health context.

* Maintain meticulous records for continuity of care and legal compliance while monitoring patient progress.

* Establish rapport with patients, fostering therapeutic relationships and supporting them in expressing their needs.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic care.

* Support families and carers by offering information and guidance to navigate complex patient dynamics.

* Supervise and mentor junior staff, guiding them towards best practices and professional development.

* Make informed decisions in managing complex cases and determining emergency interventions.

* Deliver psychosocial and therapeutic interventions, enhancing patient recovery and advocacy.
