Location: Gateshead (Residential Home Specialising in Elderly and Dementia Care)
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Hours: 44 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 8pm to 8am

Are you an experienced and compassionate care professional seeking a leadership role? We are looking for a dedicated Night Senior Care Assistant to join our exceptional team in Gateshead. Our home specializes in providing outstanding care for elderly residents and those living with dementia.

About the Role:
As a Night Senior Care Assistant, you will be a vital member of our team, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are delivered throughout the night. You will lead by example, supervising and mentoring a team of carers, while offering hands-on support to ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising and leading the night care team, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Providing person-centered care to residents, including personal care, mobility support, and emotional reassurance.
  • Monitoring residents' health and well-being, responding to concerns, and reporting any significant changes.
  • Ensuring all care plans and documentation are accurately updated during the night shift.
  • Conducting routine checks on residents and maintaining a calm, safe, and secure environment.
  • Supporting residents with dementia, fostering a sense of dignity and respect at all times.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or similar role in a residential or dementia care setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and support the care team.
  • A compassionate, proactive, and professional approach to resident care.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) preferred but not essential if you have significant experience.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.50.
  • A stable, 44-hour-per-week contract with a structured night shift schedule.
  • Opportunities for ongoing training and career progression within a supportive environment.
  • The chance to work in a dedicated, team-oriented home where your contributions make a real difference.
  • A rewarding role where you can enhance the lives of elderly residents and those living with dementia.

If you're ready to take on a meaningful leadership role where you can make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you!
