Job Description
Job Advert: Deputy Manager - Residential Care Home (Learning Disabilities)
Location: Rotherham
Starting Rate: £15.00 per hour, increasing to £16.00 per hour after probation
Are you an experienced Deputy Manager passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with Learning Disabilities? We are looking for a dedicated and driven Deputy Manager to oversee two neighbouring residential care homes in Rotherham that provide specialised care and support to adults with Learning Disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of two care homes, located next door to each other.
- Lead and supervise staff to ensure high standards of care and support are consistently delivered.
- Complete office-based administrative duties, including staff rotas, care plans, and compliance with CQC regulations.
- Provide hands-on support in emergencies or during staff shortages, including weekend cover when necessary.
- Ensure the homes are providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for residents.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager within a residential care setting, ideally specialising in Learning Disabilities.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or higher.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, compassionate approach, with a focus on improving the quality of life for our residents.
Salary & Benefits:
- Starting rate of £15.00 per hour, rising to £16.00 per hour after the successful completion of a probationary period.
- Flexible working, with occasional floor cover during emergencies or weekends.
