Unit Manager - Residential Care Home (Liverpool)
Howard Finley Care are currently seeking an experienced Unit Manager to join our clients dedicated team in a well-established residential care home in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality care.
Role Overview:
As the Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a unit with up to 25 residents, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are delivered. You will lead, motivate, and manage a team of care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining compliance with CQC standards and ensuring the well-being of all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of care staff, promoting a positive culture and teamwork.
- Ensure all residents receive the highest standard of care in line with individual care plans.
- Oversee the smooth running of the unit, managing rotas, resources, and compliance with policies.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to staff, ensuring continuous professional development.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies as required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure the unit meets CQC regulatory standards.
Essential Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience managing a team or a care unit in a residential care setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions that benefit residents and staff.
- A compassionate approach, with a commitment to delivering person-centred care.
Details of the Position:
- Contract: Full-time, 42 hours per week (start and finish times TBC).
- Overtime: Paid at time and a quarter; double time for bank holidays.
- Start Date: ASAP.
