What you will do:

- Offer compassionate care to clients presenting with substance misuse issues.
- Initiate and amend prescriptions for opiate and alcohol substitute treatments as well as other related medications.
- Take the lead in developing the prescribing clinic and act as a key point of contact for colleagues and partner agencies regarding prescribing.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and implement treatment plans for service users.
- Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness in line with national and local protocols.
- Prioritise complex health issues, intervening in urgent situations to assist service users.
- Communicate effectively with service users and carers, anticipating barriers and adapting communication methods.
- Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team, promoting the role of Non-Medical Prescribers, and supporting staff development.
