Ideas For Breakfast

So we know that breakfast is very important.

It kick-starts our day.

It gives us energy for our long shifts, even our short shifts as well.

So as you're watching this video, we're just gonna see videos and examples of quick and easy meals I go for, in order to support me when I'm busy working.

The first meal that I love, I love going for, is a simple oats.

Oats

Now, in order to give my oats a little bit of flavor, I mix it with peanut butter.

And once I put this in the microwave and it's all done, I add various fruits to just give it a little bit of taste.

On the screen, you can see that I have added bananas, strawberries, blueberries and some flax seeds as well.

Bran Flakes

My second go-to is bran flakes, quick and easy.

You just pour it in the bowl, add milk and add a fruit of your choice.

So as you can see in the picture here, I have added blueberries but it's up to you. You can add a variety or just one particular fruit that you enjoy.

Smoothie

Now, my third option is for nurses that are on the go.

If you're always on the go and you're always rushing and don't have time to eat, this is the perfect breakfast option for you.

This is a smoothie.

So in this smoothie, I put in spinach, banana, strawberries, sometimes peanut butter for taste, protein powder as an option for extra calories, almond milk, grapes and yeah.

I get it going and this is something that I have when I'm on the go or when I'm doing a school visit in the morning.

Oftentimes if I'm doing a long shift in the morning and I don't really have time to make breakfast, then this is something that I would have made overnight and yeah, have it on my way to work.

Overnight Oats

My last breakfast option, which is something that I love, is overnight oats.

So it's funny I call it overnight oats because I don't actually put much oats inside there, but it's literally one of my faves.

So as you can see now, I've got yogurt first of all, then I add fruit of my choice.

So I either strawberries, bananas, blueberries or all of them.

And then I would go for a little bit of oats on the top.

And then my favorite, favorite ingredient would be granola.

So add a granola on the top, and some honey just to give me a little bit of taste and yeah, there you go.

And that's something that you can put in a fridge at night and then when you're going in the morning, pop it in your bag.

When you get to work, it can be your morning break.

Ideas For Lunch & Dinner

So now we're done with our breakfast options, I'm now gonna show you a few options that you can have for either lunch or dinner, but these are quick and easy meals that you can have when you're busy.

So our first meal will be the chicken tikka with rice.

Tikka Curry With Rice

This is a quick and easy meal because I bought already made ingredients from Aldi.

Something that only takes 15 minutes to cook and whilst you're cooking it, You can also have your rice either in a rice cooker or on the stove, cooking at the same time.

And once you're done, you just put them together.

And there you go.

Tikka Wrap

Now moving onto my next meal, this is also again using the chicken tikka quick and easy mix from Aldi.

I have made a chicken tikka wrap and in this wrap, I have also included my own ingredients.

So I've gone for a little bit of cheese, some avocado and I've just sprinkled a bit of garlic, wrapped it together and there you go.

Now onto my third meal, this is a staple meal.

Spaghetti Bolognese

This is a quick spag bol, I however have used brown pasta as that is what I prefer, but this only takes about 20 to 25 minutes to make.

And yeah, quick and easy again.

And last but not least another quick and easy meal that you can consider is stuffed salmon with spinach.

You can have this with anything on the side but for me, I usually like to add rice or potatoes as you can see on the left-hand side right now.

Thank you for watching this video guys.

I hope you found it very useful and found it very handy to make quick and easy meals as a busy nurse.

pThank you for watching, bye.
